John, Paul, George, and Ringo board the Q train en route to the Ed Sullivan Theatre, where the Blue Meanie—now a mischievous conductor—derails the subway into a rainbow just below 54th Street. Eleanor Rigby sits among a car of lonely souls as the train bursts above the 13th floor, washed in kaleidoscopic light from Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. The crowd awakens—strangers embrace, instruments melt into musicians’ hands, and the car erupts into live music, joy, and shared song.
