20000 Leagues Under NYC Patch on Hoodies

PJ O'Rourke's 20,000 Leagues Under NYC is a fusion of classic literature and modern urban imagination. This stunning design (this is the “2nd final draft” in much more illustrative detail than the initial release) envisions the L train submarine under the East River of New York City. 

This energy-efficient marvel of a subway submarine was taking its regular multi- daily journey into Manhattan from Brooklyn when a colossal squid attacked and dismantled the hull of the ship. The train conductor just so happened to be in the secondary compartment towards the front of the vessel at the time. Thinking quickly, he announced the attack and dropped floaties and oxygen tanks from the ceiling of the sub with the push of a button. The survivors (thus far) frantically grabbed their supplies as total destruction of the vessel unfolded. There were only 12 survivors who were able to float away with their tanks in operation while avoiding the inexorable behemoth’s menacing tentacles. The MTA (Marine Transit Authority) conductor went down a hero in an honorable blaze of glory.

- If the patch is on the front, it'll be placed in the center of the upper chest with a branded PJ O'Rourke signature patch on the left cuff. 

- If the patch is on the back, it'll be placed in the center of the upper back between the shoulders. On the front of the hoodie, a branded PJ O'Rourke signature patch is placed on the left breast.
