Syd Barrett vs. Sid Vicious post card

 My artwork here features an imaginative and playful boxing match poster between two iconic and wildly different figures from music history: Syd Barrett, co-founder of Pink Floyd, and Sid Vicious, the infamous bassist of the Sex Pistols. The bright yellow background and bold, chaotic typography create an eye-catching, punk-rock-inspired aesthetic that echoes the rebellious energy both musicians embodied.

Syd Barrett is depicted on the left, labeled “The Mad Cap”, a reference to his solo work “The Madcap Laughs”. He’s illustrated in boxing gear, but with psychedelic imagery swirling around him, including a striking octopus, representing the mind-altering nature of his music and the influence of LSD (referenced by the word “Acid” near his name).

Sid Vicious, on the right, is called “The Mad Punk”, with his anarchic persona fully on display. He’s depicted in a punk getup, complete with his iconic spiked hair, and the word “Anarchy” scrawled near his name, referencing his band’s hit “Anarchy in the UK”. His stance, with tattoos and visible wounds, reflects his raw and reckless nature.
