Never Ever Lose Your Sense of Outrage post card

My 2019 artwork imagines a comic book cover where Bernie Sanders, depicted as a Hulk-like character, embodies the spirit of Outrage. The title, “Never Ever Lose Your Sense of Outrage”, reflects Bernie’s real-world emphasis on maintaining the fight against inequality and corruption. This powerful visual symbolizes Sanders transforming into a larger-than-life figure driven by anger at systemic injustices.

The comic’s producer, Killer Mike Comics, nods to rapper and activist Killer Mike, a well-known Bernie Sanders supporter. The piece blends superhero aesthetics with political commentary, capturing Sanders in the middle of a rampage, his suit torn and muscles bulging, much like Marvel’s Hulk. The tagline at the bottom, “The Abomination”, references his opposition to the Inequality, Wall Street’s Rigged System, Citizens United, and other social and economic injustices, represented as foes in this comic world.

This comic book cover cleverly uses the superhero genre to present Bernie Sanders as a fighter for the people, visualizing his passionate opposition to the inequities of the system in an exaggerated, powerful form.
