I visited Hawaii for the first time, the place where my mom grew up; in Kaneohe. Most of her childhood was spent there. My grandfather was a Marine stationed there; he fought in the Korean War. The world was buzzing about Covid-19 as I got on the flight back home to JFK, NYC.
Before the few Hawaii pics, this month, when I got back, I already had a design ready to go before March. This would be the beginning of my Covid commentary series.

Aloha Stadium swap meet an interesting experience. Shout out to Jasper for getting me there & signing up!

I wasn’t only hustling on the trains either. I’d set up in Washington Square Park and spray paint stencil art for customers right there in real time. Stencils laid out, cans rattling, paint drifting through the air, and people forming a circle to watch the process. Somebody would pick a design, I’d cut it, spray it, layer it, and hand them something finished within minutes. It was fast, messy, loud, and perfect. That park was like a live showroom. No website. No filters. Just pure street commerce and art happening at the same time.

Tribute to Kobe.
