The back wall at 31 E 17th St was still up, before the construction. It previously was a stuffy, stale, boring AT&T. A local artist moving in for while was a great sign for the neighborhood, local flavor. Creativity was back. But the walls had to be deconstructed to open the space up. So we had to wait a few weeks to reopen on the 17th St side in February 2025. The Layer Cake design was fresh out of the box, my muse became my inspiration behind one of the best designs in my portfolio. Jillian helped me out with this design in such a playful way. She wanted the Layer Cake to display my origins of selling my art in the subway; showing the layers of moving up layered in meaning.
